Scottie Barnes leads the Raptors to a 134-98 victory over the Wizards

Scottie Barnes had 23 points and six rebounds but was forced to leave early due to an injury as the Toronto Raptors defeated the Washington Wizards 134-98 in preseason play on Friday. Barnes' exit marked the return of centre Jakob Pöltl, Precious Achiuwa, and Otto Porter Jr. from sickness and injury. "My goal was to play at least one game," said Achiuwa, who finished with nine points and six rebounds in 17 minutes. He had missed the Raptors' previous three games due to a groin issue suffered during training camp.

Pöltl has returned from an unidentified sickness that has kept him out of action for the past week. In 18 minutes of action, he had eight points and nine rebounds. For the Raptors (4-0), Pascal Siakam scored 15 points and eight rebounds, while O.G. Anunoby had 15 points. Toronto ended the preseason undefeated and will play the Minnesota Timberwolves in their home opening on Wednesday at Scotiabank Arena.
