Houston Rockets announced that Former Hornets assistant Stephen Silas would be their new head coach, Silas was working as an assistant with Mavs since he joined the staff team in 2018 before his long stint at the Hornets franchise, working as a scout in 1999 then as an assistant from 2000 to 2002 under father Paul Silas then head coach. He then returned to Charlotte as an assistant coach and remained a part of the team when Steve Clifford was the team’s head coach and when Clifford was dealing with health problems Silas acted as the team’s head coach for the 2017-18 season. Making a new shift in his career he starts at Rockets and we are excited to see how he performs the role.
