Suns lock in core trio ahead of 2026/27 season

The Phoenix Suns have reinforced their commitment to roster stability by officially retaining center Mark Williams and guards Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin. General manager Brian Gregory praised the trio, calling their return “a great day for our organization” and noting they were instrumental to last season’s success, as reported by Logan Stanley of the Arizona Republic.

Despite trading Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale to the Hornets for Miles Bridges, Phoenix prioritized continuity after securing 45 wins in 2025/26. Gregory emphasized that internal development and roster consistency will remain central pillars as the team pushes forward.

Goodwin echoed that sentiment, stressing that keeping most of the rotation intact will strengthen the group heading into 2026/27. He highlighted the strong bond built within the locker room, describing last season’s atmosphere as unified and conflict‑free. Maintaining that chemistry, he said, will make the upcoming campaign “really fun” for the entire roster.
