Talen Horton-Tucker, a former Jazz guard, has signed with the Bulls

The Chicago Bulls have agreed to sign free agency guard Talen Horton-Tucker to a partly guaranteed contract. After averaging 10.5 points per game during the previous two seasons in Utah, the Chicago native is headed back home and will have a chance to join the Bulls. Horton-Tucker, who is still only 23 years old, is starting his sixth NBA season with the goal of extending his career in Chicago.

With 116 games with Utah, the Iowa State product averaged 10.5 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.9 rebounds. However, he had trouble shooting, making only 40% of his field goals and 30% of his threes. In the 2019 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers chose the guard with the 46th overall choice. The Chicago native played in just eight games as a rookie, but during the COVID-19-shortened NBA season, he earned a championship ring with Los Angeles in the Orlando bubble. Later he was traded to Jazz in 2022.
