The 34-year-old basketball veteran Rudy Gay has agreed to a deal with Utah Jazz. The deal will make him stay with Jazz two years at a cost of $12 million. Rudy has been playing basketball for 15 years in the NBA and his versatility can really help Utah Jazz. In his last season for the San Antonio Spurs, Gay gave a spectacular performance. He scored 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and in the defensive part, he made 1.1 blocks and 1.3 steals per 36 minutes of San Antonio Spurs. Rudy can take the place of a backup 4 or a small ball 5 for Jazz.
Standing at 6”8’, Gay can stretch the defenses in the 5 out lineups. He has a 35% mark from 3-point range in his career. Head coach Quin Snyder will be looking to deploy some small ball lineups and Rudy will be playing at the 5 just like the Los Angeles Clippers’ this season.
