The Milwaukee Bucks overcame a struggling Los Angeles Lakers 118-89 in the Western Conference thanks to 28 points from Giannis Antetokounmpo. During the Bucks' visit, Lakers head coach JJ Redick was also missing Jarred Vanderbilt and Dorian Finney-Smith, two important reserves for the team. Gary Trent Jr. scored 23 points off the bench and Antetokounmpo pulled down seven rebounds and four assists to lead the Bucks to just their third victory in eight games.
In addition to scoring 20 points, Kyle Kuzma helped the Bucks sweep the season series after defeating the Lakers 126-106 in Milwaukee eight days prior. The legendary LeBron James' son, Bronny James, achieved double figures for the first time in 22 NBA games with a career-high 17 points and five assists. Even though Dalton Knecht scored 17 points for the Lakers, it was insufficient to extend their winning streak to nine games at home.
