The Chicago Bulls are trading Lonzo Ball in an attempt to alter their roster. After missing two full seasons due to injuries, the 6-foot-6 point guard made a comeback to the NBA during the 2024–25 season. The Bulls are prepared to let go of Ball now that Josh Giddey is a younger and healthier guard alternative. Oct. 23, 2024, marked the former high school standout's first appearance in a Chicago regular-season game since Jan. 14, 2022. Ball averaged 7.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 35 games.

He agreed to a two-year, $20 million contract extension to remain in Chicago in February. He has a $10 million player option in the second year of his contract. But according to a story published on X (previously Twitter) by Forbes writer Evan Sidery on Tuesday, the team may soon put Ball available for trade.
