After a double-digit loss in Game 1, the Grizzlies got back on track with a blowout win over the Timberwolves in Game 2 on Tuesday. For Game 3 on Thursday, the teams headed to the Twin Cities. For the major part of the evening, it seemed like the No. 2 seed Grizzlies were under pressure from the No. 7 seed Timberwolves.
In the first half, Memphis gathered as many as 26 points but faced a 25-point deficit with only 15 minutes remaining. But the Grizzlies managed to turn the tables from there with their 50-13 overall run to secure a 104-95 victory. The Grizzlies brought the half to an end with a 15-0 run while the Wolves missed their eight final shots. With this, Minnesota was left with a 7-point lead at break which turned into a disappointment for the home clan.
