The Lakers produced one of their greatest offensive halves of the season before completely collapsing in the second half to one of the poorest teams in the NBA in the previous two weeks, losing 130–111, in one of the more puzzling and disappointing games of the season. The purple and gold team scored 68 points in the first half and just 44 in the second, which was a dismal performance.
Big scoring nights were had by the big three of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and D'Angelo Russell. With 24 rebounds, 19 assists, and 70 points overall, they were successful. With 12 points and five rebounds off the bench, Jarred Vanderbilt had his greatest offensive performance of the season. Austin Reaves had a terrible game, ending with only nine points after shooting 4–12 from the field and 0–6 from three.
