From the opening tip to the final buzzer, the San Antonio Spurs overwhelmed a depleted Portland Trail Blazers club, winning 114-83 and claiming their third consecutive victory. They took a double-digit lead in the first half thanks to some surprisingly great three-point shooting, but it was their outstanding inside-out defense that sealed the game in the second half.
Bryn Forbes led the Spurs in scoring with 18 points off the bench, and Dejounte Murray once again stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, seven rebounds, 13 assists, and two steals. Doug McDermott returned with 16 points, Keldon Johnson and Jakob Poelt each had 14 points, while Derrick White continued to find his feet with 12 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. The Blazers' CJ McCollum and Norman Powell each scored 16 points, but it wasn't enough to keep Portland's ten-game home winning streak alive despite the presence of Damian Lillard and Nassir Little.
