The Warriors defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 129-123 at Chase Centre on Wednesday after rallying from a 21-point hole with 51 points in the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, Quinten Post and LJ Cryer scored 29 points and made six 3-pointers between them. The Warriors outscored the Blazers' reserves 87-71 thanks to 87 points from their bench.
For their second preseason game, the Dubs unveiled a new starting lineup that included Al Horford in place of Brandin Podziemski. Horford, Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler III, and Stephen Curry—all important veterans—again only appeared in the first half. Despite trailing by 16 points at halftime, the Warriors had plenty of highlight reel moments. Stephen Curry broke a team's three-minute scoring drought to begin the game with a four-point play, maintaining control despite contact on his shooting hand to drill a three and hit his free throw.
