Thunder withstands an unexpected Grizzlies challenge

On Saturday, Jalen Williams scored twenty-three points to help the Oklahoma City Thunder defeat the Memphis Grizzlies 118–112 on the road. Williams also contributed two blocks, seven rebounds, six assists, and a steal. Along with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who ended with 20, and Chet Holmgren, who contributed 22, he was one of three Thunder players with at least 20 points. Williams finished with 11 points in the fourth quarter to help Oklahoma City defeat the Grizzlies in the final minutes (23–45).

For the first time since January 12, Desmond Bane onto the court and led Memphis with 22 points and seven assists. Bane had been nursing a sore ankle. The Grizzlies added 19 points apiece from GG Jackson and Jaren Jackson Jr. while Santi Aldama scored 16 points for the team. In the last minute Grizzlies came close to five points but Thunder stole the win.
