Utah Jazz could not pull off their usual third-quarter domination as Pelicans hold them off well and send them to another loss with 129-124. Jazz was leading by half-time over Pelicans by five points and everyone expected the dominants to pull through having dominated third quarters all season long. But Pelicans controlled the score this time around and attacked the rim with Zion Williamson and turned the game in their favor to ultimately secure a great defeat of 129-124 at the Smoothie King Center.
Jazz are 27-8 in the season currently and this is their second loss in three matches, coach Quin Snyder later added that they did not protect the paint which was their biggest mistake and Jazz were shooting 11 of 27 (40.7%), including 2 of 9 from deep, in the third quarter while could not defend against New Orleans who made 15 of 23 shots (65.2%).
