Utah Jazz gets a new assistant coach- Dell Demps

Former Pelicans GM Dell Demps moves west to try his hand at a new coaching role. Demps was general manager for 8 and a half-season and now would feature as Utah Jazz’s assistant coach under Quin Snyder. The duo had worked together as the members of the San Antonio Spurs organization. Demps was the GM and Snyder was the Texas-based team's coach. Snyder has just completed his 6th season in Utah and has successfully lead the team into playoffs in each of the last four seasons. Though recently they messed up their 3-1 lead over Denver Nuggets in the first round. Previously Demps had joined Pelicans in July 2010. Right after Anthony Davis moved to the Lakers Demps time had come to an end. He has briefly worked with Warriors, Spurs and Magic as well.
