Utah Jazz will finally barter All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland Cavaliers will exchange Colin Sexton, Lauri Markkanen and Ochai Agbaji to Utah for Mitchell. However it is being that this is merely the deal chief Jazz executive Danny Ainge was looking for. Reportedly, Ainge wished for draft picks, and he received three unprotected first-rounders and two first-round swaps in the trade.
That amounts the total return for the two centerpieces of Utah's five straight playoff appearances to seven first-round draft picks (six unprotected) and three first-round pick swaps. Along with two first-round picks from this year's draft Agbaji and Kessler, Sexton, Markkanen, Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt and Leandro Bolmaro. The Jazz also acquired Patrick Beverley in the Gobert trade and hauled the veteran defensive specialist to the Los Angeles Lakers in a trade deal for Talent Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson.
