Utah Jazz lost to the Brooklyn Nets 117-106

The Nets were able to put together enough of a run toward the conclusion of the game to put the game just out of reach for the Jazz despite playing without Kevin Durant. Regarding the Nets, Kyrie Irving was outstanding. He finished the game with 48 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, and a 62.1% field goal percentage overall and a 53.3% 3-point percentage.

Although the Jazz lost by a very slim margin in the paint (46-40) and on fast breaks (22-16), they had the same amount of mistakes and fouls as the Nets and shot the ball reasonably effectively (41% from beyond the arc). Even though they outperformed the Nets on second-chance points and the glass, they were unable to stop Irving. Nic Claxton had a significant contribution for the Nets, especially in the first half, and was a major factor in the Jazz's inability to establish any kind of lead early on.
