After dominating the Western Conference, Jazz was hoping for a clean sweep against Memphis Grizzlies. But had to settle for a 4-1 emphatic win instead to advance to the second round of the playoff by beating Grizzlies by 126-110 in Game 5 at Vivint Arena. Jazz did well offensively, starting the game with 4/6 from behind the 3-point line three minutes in, by the end of the quarter they scored 9. Five of the Utah players were above 17 points in the end.
The Jazz All-Star, Donovan Mitchell was particularly exceptional finishing with 30 points as well as 10 assists and 6 rebounds shooting 11-of-16 from the field and 5-of-8 from three. Mike Conley gave everyone a health scare by walking off in the second quarter with his right hamstring injury acting up again. Jazz would need the player in the next round of the playoff series.
