Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet and Gary Trent Jr. scored back-to-back 3-pointers in the last 1 minute to see off Raptors to a win past Philadelphia 76ers, 115-109 on Thursday night. At the end of the match, VanVleet had scored 32 points which included six 3s and Trent had hit 20 points as Raptors overcame depleted Sixers.
The team was playing without Joel Embiid, Isaiah Joe, and Matisse Thybulle, who had to sit out due to NBA’s health and safety protocols. They did have an injured Seth Curry and Tobias Harris, who returned after a six-game absence after testing positive for COVID-19 to put up a fight against Raptors. Despite 33 points contribution by Tyrese Maxey Sixers lost their third match straight.
