Warriors’ alternative plan involves Avdija

Despite rumors, the Warriors still hold their No. 2 overall picks for the 2020 draft and their first preference though seems to be Memphis center James Wiseman if Bucks do not snatch him first. But they have expressed their preference to trade at a lower level to get a hold of a veteran player. Israeli small forward Deni Avdija is their next prospect in the draft if they give up their No. 2 pick. Warriors are infatuated with his prowess on the court and hold a lot of potentials to develop into Danilo Gallinari-type.

The 6-foot-9, Avdija offers versatility to Golden State Warriors as he is the big man who can guard multiple positions. An impressive playmaker and can handle the ball as well though needs to improve his shooting from beyond the arc. Avdija tops the list of prospects that includes Iowa State point guard Tyrese Haliburton and Florida State shooting guard Devin Vassell.
