Golden State Warriors’ wages bill is mostly driven by Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green leaving just enough pieces of the pie for a young star. As per the reports Warriors have made a plan to keep guard Jordan Poole for the long term and would be extending his contract with a multi-year deal this summer.
As per the current contract, he would be a restricted free agency in 2023 and Warriors want to avoid losing the player, the team could offer him a four-year deal, in the $80 million range. Golden State would already have to deal with Andrew Wiggins headache this season as he is set to be an unrestricted free agent after the 2022-23 season. Curry, Thompson, and Green's contracts are somewhere around $122.7 million for the 2023-24 season with Wiggins asking for $37 million. Poole has been a big part of the roster with his career-high 16.4 points he might even be considered for the Sixth Man of the Year award.
