Warriors planning to waive two of its players

The first two clubs to play preseason games were the Washington Wizards and Golden State Warriors. This past weekend they played two games against each other in Japan, and the Warriors won both of them. Teams throughout the league will continue to add to and eliminate from their rosters as the season draws closer. The Warriors formally waived Mac McClung and Trevion Williams on Monday.

McClung took part in two NBA matches (one for the Chicago Bulls and the other for the Los Angeles Lakers). Williams played for the Purdue Boilermakers for four seasons before going undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft this past summer. On October 18, the Warriors will welcome LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers at the Chase Center in San Francisco for the start of the regular season.
