What is Sacramento Kings’ Draft strategy?

Sacramento Kings enjoy the 4th pick in the 2022 NBA draft which is a good boost to the side that wants to return to the playoff soon. Kings have the chance to get a player that could help the side immediately but would be sacrificing the future of the team as they could also go for a player that would be cultivated to be a long-term player for the side. Kings in the past have not enjoyed the benefit of top-four pick, in the 2018 draft they bagged Bagley, and from the last 2009 draft, they added Tyreke Evans. Kings have been on a playoff drought since 2006 and have since enjoyed the top four pick only two times.

Kings have a chance to draft players like A.J. Griffin, Benedict Mathurin, Dyson Daniels, Jeremy Sochan, and Johnny Davis in 2022. If Kings trade the pick for a proven NBA player they would have to make do with mid-lottery pick.
