Philadelphia 76ers lost the chance to post their first playoff sweep in 36 years after dropping their Game 4 to Washington Wizards on Monday, MVP finalist Joel Embiid walked out of the match due to a sore knee and the Wizards took advantage of it by beating Sixers by 122-114 and reduce Sixers series lead to 3-1. Bradley Beal scored 27 points while Russell Westbrook scored his 12th playoff triple-double as well to help the Wizards.
The East’s No.1 seed seemed helpless without their star scorer Embiid, who finished with 8 points, 6 rebounds. Wizards on the other hand fought their way into the playoffs by winning in the play-in stage, they held back Sixers to take the lead by halftime 61-60 then a big third quarter helped them to 92-78. Fourth-quarter saw a lot of to and fro, Danny Green even tied the game 106 all. That is when Wizards exploded in a rage to win the match.
