Zion Williamson has agreed to a 5-year contract extension with the Orleans

Zion Williamson had to miss out on the last NBA season because of his broken foot but now he has decided to sign a 5-year rookie deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. His contract is worth $193 million but with other incentives, he can make as much as $231 million. He could make extra money if he can win the Defensive Player or NBA Most Valuable Player awards in the next season.

During his rookie season, Williamson suffered knee injuries which took a toll on his NBA debut delaying it to January 2020. The player will be turning 22 this week. He also equaled Shaquille O'Neal becoming the only teens in NBA history with an average of 20 points and shoot 55% from the court.
