It has been a while since Sri Lanka was on level with India in limited-overs cricket. They do have the past victories to rely on when Sri Lanka took on a heavily depleted Indian team and won two games to take the trophy in Colombo. But the Lankan tigers face a tough fight this time on Indian soil.
India has won 11 of the last 14 completed T20Is meanwhile Sri Lanka looks bleak with two wins from ten completed matches. The only news that is in their favor is India would miss Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant who are rested for the series, and Deepak Chahar and Suryakumar Yadav have picked up injuries. Sri Lanka on the other hand would be without their best player Wanindu Hasaranga, as well as Kusal Mendis and Maheesh Theekshana, who are in the doubtful category.
