Adam Zampa fined for AUD 2500 plus suspension

Melbourne Stars Legspinner Adam Zampa will not be part of the squad which takes on Hobart Hurricanes on 2nd January 2021 after he was found guilty of using audible obscenity during Stars match against Sydney Thunder, the bowler will also be fined AUD 2500 because of his actions in the Australian Big Bash League. He breached level 1 of the Code of Conduct set by Cricket Australia for players to adhere to in the strictest manner.

Zampa has been known to lose his temper, he was reprimanded by the ICC as well during World Cup 2019 when he was found guilty for similar actions during Australia and West Indies match. This is a huge blow for Stars who were already without Nathan Coulter-Nile who was injured during their match with Sixers on Boxing Day.
