Afghanistan released their squads’ list for the limited-overs tour of Zimbabwe

Afghanistan is all set to take on Zimbabwe in the limited-overs series and has released the squad. Zia-ur-Rehman Akbar is stepping in for all-rounder Gulbadin Naib. The 20-over series would see Qais Ahmed and Mujeeb ur Rahman being replaced by Ihsanullah Jannat and Noor Ahmad as the first pair would be taking part in T20 Blast. Both the teams would first meet in the ODI series which would begin on June 4 and both the teams would then play in the T20I series.

Gulbadin Naib’s worrying performance in the past ODI match with Bangladesh resulted in him not being a part of the T20I squad, so far he has picked up just two wickets from 10 ODIs. Right-arm fast Nijat Masoud and spinner Noor Ahmed have been added to the reserve list for the team for the 50-over series.
