Afghanistan wins T20 match against Zimbabwe

Rising star Rahmanullah Gurbaz was exceptional during the match, he hit seven sixes and posted 87 runs from 45 balls to seal a 48 run win over Zimbabwe to claim the first win in the Twenty20 international in Abu Dhabi. With the help of the right-hander, Afghanistan posted 198 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs after they lost the toss and had to bat first at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

Later Rashid Khan, Karim Janat, Fareed Ahmad were able to restrict Zimbabwe to 150 runs and shared 7 wickets between themselves to claim a 1-0 lead in the three-game series, rest two matches would take place on Friday and Saturday in Abu Dhabi. This was the 9th win for Afghanistan in 10 T20I against Zimbabwe.
