Afghanistan routs Scotland with 130 runs in the opening match of Super 12 stage in the Twenty20 World Cup on Monday. The Spinner Mujeebur Rahman took down the batting lineup with his five-wicket haul as Scotland tumbled at 60 in just 10.2 overs chasing 191 runs in front of them. Mujeeb posted a score of 5-20 while his fellow spinner Rashid Khan clinched four wickets as well, to deliver Afghanistan their largest victory margin in the game's shortest format.
Najibullah Zadran had earlier guided the team to the best total of 190-4 with 34-ball 59. Scotland was coming in strong with three back-to-back wins in qualifiers, but against Afghanistan Calum MacLeod, Richie Berrington and Matthew Cross went for a duck to post their lowest T20 total.
