Ajaz Patel’s 10 wickets haul goes wasted

Ajaz Patel posted a perfect record by taking all the 10 wickets in the first inning against India. But Black Caps could not hold the fort later and collapse with the lowest score ever recorded by any team in India. A complete waste of a historic 10-wicket performance in Mumbai. Black Caps were eviscerated for 62 as they crumbled against Indian bowlers.

Patel’s last victim Mohammed Siraj returned to the match taking three straight wickets, and Tom Latham, Will Young, and Ross Taylor all went back without contributing much to the score that was 17-3 and the worse was yet to come. Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, and others were at the top of their game with just two New Zealand players in double digits, Latham scored 10 runs while Kyle Jamieson lasted till 17 runs and finally gave in.
