Chennai Super Kings' star batsman Ambati Rayudu has stated that he will be resigning from the Indian Premier League after the 2022 season. The Hyderabad cricketer who has been the point of support for CSK for a long time, and is an acclaimed cricketer in the homegrown set-up has spent over 13 seasons in the association scoring 4187 runs from 187 matches, at a strike rate barely short of 130.
The 36-year-old, despite the long-drawn career, is ready to retire from the Indian Premier League after this season which has already marked the end of the campaign for CSK as they are out of the playoff race with losses amounting to more than wins for the defending champions. Rayudu has been seen battling for wellness and even Mentor Stephen Fleming has agreed that the player is battling with a physical issue in his lower arm.
