Amber Kainat handed first Pakistan T20I chance

Pakistan have named uncapped fast‑bowler Amber Kainat in their squad for the upcoming three‑match T20I series against Zimbabwe in Karachi. The 15‑player group, led by Fatima Sana, includes two uncapped cricketers: Kainat and Saira Jabeen, who keeps her place after touring South Africa in February. Kainat’s selection follows an impressive National Women’s T20 Tournament campaign, where she claimed eleven wickets in eight matches for the Invincibles.

The squad closely mirrors the one used in South Africa, though opener Sidra Amin is a notable omission and has been listed among the five reserves alongside pacer Diana Baig. Off‑spinner Rameen Shamim returns after missing the previous tour through injury, while Umm‑e‑Hani, who replaced her, has been left out. Humna Bilal also misses selection.

The series begins on May twelve, with the remaining fixtures on May fourteen and fifteen. All three matches will be staged at the National Stadium Karachi.
