England might not be able to salvage the first Ashes test match as Australia continues their pounding on day two in Brisbane. Travis Head’s quick ton of 85-ball helped Australia build a 196-run lead, as Head hit his third quickest century in Ashes. David Warner came close to a century posting 94 runs in the end while Marnus Labuschagne’s 74 helped the hosts to 343-7.
England bundled out quickly on Day one posting just 147 runs from their first inning but Ollie Robinson’s successive strikes did curtail Australia from building a much bigger lead still the chance of England making a comeback seems slim, they face a tough task as soon as Australia finish batting. Robinson was the one to watch from England’s performance at Gabba, where they have failed to post a win in the last 35 years.
