Ashes: England have been challenged by multiple injuries in the squad

England faced another significant setback during the Sydney Test as captain Ben Stokes suffered a worrying injury on Day 4. While bowling the 127th over of Australia's first innings, Stokes suddenly clutched his groin in visible pain, eventually limping off the field to receive medical attention.

The ECB later confirmed via social media that he is currently being assessed for a right adductor strain. This adds to England’s woes, as they already trail 3-1 in the series and are desperately struggling to salvage the match. Despite the physical setback, Stokes is expected to bat in the second innings to help his side. Unfortunately, the tour Down Under has been continually plagued by fitness issues for the visitors. Mark Wood and Jofra Archer were ruled out after earlier Tests, while Gus Atkinson missed Sydney with a hamstring problem. With their captain now hurt, England must dig deep to survive this difficult contest.
