Ravichandran Ashwin, proved his skills with the bat as Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings by five wickets to finish second in the Indian Premier League. Ashwin was unbeaten with 40 off 23 balls as Rajasthan completed the chase with 151 with 2 balls remaining. Rajasthan will now face table-toppers, Gujarat Titans next week.
On the other hand, Moeen Ali top-scored for Chennai with a 57-ball 93. Young Yashasvi Jaiswal (59 off 44 balls) got RR off to a brisk start. By the time the first over of the innings ended, RR qualified for the playoffs on net run rate. This leaves RCB and DC to fight for the 4th spot.
