Suryakumar Yadav's bolstering 68*, Virat Kohli's 59* and Ravindra Jadeja's swift fielding eased team India into bagging a pretty straightforward qualification to the Super Four phase of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 after defeating Hong Kong by 40 runs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
During the match, Hong Kong won the toss and chose to bowl first. Team India scored 192/2 in their 20 overs. Virat Kohli made a great comeback and hit 59* off 44 balls, along with a four and three massive sixes. In the final overs, Suryakumar Yadav smashed a fantastic 68* off 26 balls, decorated with six fours and six sixes. Hong Kong finished their innings at 152/5. India directly qualified for the Super Four Phase of the tournament. Ravindra Jadeja (1/15 in four overs) was the highlight amongst the bowlers for India. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan also bagged a wicket each.
