A late attack by Matthew Wade saw off Australia to the T20 World Cup final clash on Thursday by winning against Pakistan by five wickets. Australia sets up a match with New Zealand in the final. Pakistani leg-spinner Shadab Khan posted a 4/26 figure to beat Australia but it wasn't enough, as they bounced back with Stoinis and Wade’s strong partnership. The Australian pair left Hassan Ali and Shaheen Afridi hoping for a wicket as they hit six after six.
Afridi looked threatening at the start when he trapped Aussie skipper Aaron Finch with lbw in the first over as the team was chasing a target of 177 runs on their way to a final as they ended Pakistan’s winning streak and sent the Men in Green packing with a heartbreak.
