Australia hit with injury woes with Sri Lanka tour ongoing

Marcus Stoinis joins the list of injured Australian players which now includes a dozen names at this point as Sri Lanka’s tour goes on. Ashton Agar is also placed in the doubtful category as it looks like spinner Matthew Kuhnemann would get a chance to make his first international appearance. The 25-year-old already holds a good record for Queensland in domestic One Day cricket, and even clinched 3/43 against the Sri Lanka' A side. Kuhnemann took out players like Oshada Fernando, Niroshan Dickwella and Dhananjaya de Silva.

Due to Stoinis’ injury, Travis Head would be receiving the call to join the Australian side and offer the side some stability as they deal with a spate of injuries. The five ODIs scheduled between Sri Lanka and Australia would affect Australia's qualification for Cricket World Cup in India 2023.
