Australia to not partake in any warm-up matches

The Pat Cummins-led team will play India in the World Test Championship (WTC) final at The Oval beginning on June 7. On June 16, the first Ashes Test will take place at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Australian players make up the lion's share of the red-ball team and are now competing in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL). A select handful, like Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne, are participating in the County Championship as part of their extended red-ball duty in England.

After winning the 2021–22 series 4-0 at home, Australia is the current owner of the urn. However, the Australians haven't triumphed in a red-ball series on English soil since 2001. Australia has already revealed its lineup for both The Ashes and the WTC final. On the other side, England will begin the summer by playing a single Test match against Ireland beginning on June 1.
