Babar Azam would be Pakistan captain for all formats

Pakistan Cricket Board ensured that Babar Azam will stay for a long time despite all the changes and cuts being made at the team level. Azam would serve as the captain for all the formats of Pakistan for the long-term. PCB chief executive officer Wasim Khan assured the public that Ehsan Mani and he himself will ensure that Azam stays on as Captain, who is their best batsmen and represents the youth mentality well,  He is currently the best choice Pakistan had and served Pakistan well while he served as the captain of the white-ball formats.

Khan also expressed Azhar Ali has served Pakistan well throughout his time but it is time to grow Babar for the captaincy role who is quite ready for the extra responsibility and asked for the same himself.
