Bangladesh Bowlers guide the team to a win against West Indies

Bangladesh managed to beat West Indies with 55 balls to spare during the rain-affected evening as bowlers had a field day. Tigers have the first win of their tour of the West Indies with the six-wicket triumph in the first one-day international. The match was reduced to just 41 overs for each inning because of rain, Bangladesh had decided to bowl first after winning the toss. West Indies batters then had a hard time on the field facing Mehidy Hasan and Shoriful Islam. Riding on Shamarh Brooks’ 66-ball 33 they managed to score an unimposing figure of 149-9 for Bangladesh to chase.

The team went on to score 151 runs in just 31.5 overs and lost just four wickets in the process. Mahmudullah had a top score of unbeaten 41 off 69 while Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 46-ball 37. The three-match ODI series will continue at the same venue.
