Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto expressed confidence in his team's ability to win both Test matches against India, beginning on September 19 in Chennai. The Bangladesh Test squad departed for Chennai from Dhaka on Sunday afternoon, brimming with confidence after a historic 2-0 series win over Pakistan. The first Test will take place in Chennai, concluding on September 23, followed by the second Test at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur from September 27 to October 1.

Acknowledging the challenge ahead, Shanto emphasized the importance of maintaining the right process and focus. "It’s definitely going to be a very challenging series for us," he remarked. "We will play to win both matches. Our aim will be to do the work properly." Both matches are crucial as they form part of the 2023-2025 World Test Championship cycle. India currently leads the table with 68.52 percentage points, while Bangladesh stands in fourth place with 45.83 points.
