Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has unveiled a 19 member squad that would be participating in the five-match Twenty20 International series against New Zealand. The matches would kick off from 1st September. In the list of participants, Bangladesh has brought back Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Das, and Aminul Islam who had previously missed the Australia match at home.
The Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman, opener, and leg-spinner were actually pulled from the Zimbabwe tour in July and after they exited the bio-bubble they did not have enough time to take part in the home series against Australia as they could not reenter the bubble in time. In the match against Kiwis, Mohammad Mithun was dropped from the list after he took part in the Australia T20I series. Other than that Mahmudullah would continue to serve as Captain for the squad.
