Mustafizur Rahman and fast bowler Mohammad Saifuddin clinched five wickets between themselves with Rahman taking three and Spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed four wickets himself as Bangladesh maintained their dominating stance on home ground and beat Sri Lanka by 33 runs in the first one-day international in Dhaka on Sunday. In 10 overs Mehidy posted impressive figures of 4-30 and Sri Lanka was bowled out at 224 and failed to complete the chase of 258.
Bangladesh batted first with Wanindu Hasaranga posting 74 off 60 balls and helping the team to a decent target in ODI. Mushfiqur Rahim also scored 84 and Mahmudullah Riyad was at 54 leaving the rest on bowlers who took an early lead in the three-match series. The second ODI will take place on Tuesday at the same venue.
