Bangladesh wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan Sohan out of Asia Cup 2022

A finger injury has kept wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan Sohan out of the Bangladesh’s squad this year. The player sustained the injury in the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe in Harare and would now not be in action for about a month. The Asia Cup 2022 campaign for Bangladesh will begin against Afghanistan on August 30. Sohan had to pull out of the third T20I followed by the three-match ODI series as well against Zimbabwe.

The player is now in Singapore and will get back to Dhaka for more testing. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC), meanwhile, has given the BCB an extension to name their crew for the Asia Cup because of the surge of injury woes in the Bangladesh camp lately. The player joins, Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Mohammad Saifuddin, Liton Das,  Mushfiqur Rahim, Mustafizur Rahman, and Shoriful Islam on the injured list which makes things extremely difficult for the team.
