Hobart Hurricanes once again saw Ben McDermott on fire this time at Coffs Harbour International Stadium as he became the first BBL player to score back-to-back tons with his knock of 65-ball 127. Hurricanes later won the match against Melbourne Renegades with spectacular 85 runs. In the last match, McDermott scored 110 runs facing Adelaide Strikers on the other side and followed that up with a blistering hundred.
McDermott hit nine fours and as many sixes as he played a decisive role in their overwhelming total of 206 runs as Renegades fell short and were bundled out at 15.5 overs with 121 runs on the board as Sandeep Lamichhane and Tom Rogers shared 6 wickets amidst themselves. McDermott won the man of the match award in the end for his third BBL hundred.
