Royal Challengers Bangalore cruised to a win past the table toppers, Delhi Capitals with a last-minute six that marked an end of a powerful show by Srikar Bharat. Virat Kohli-led side flew to the next stage of Indian Premier League 2021 with a big win in Dubai. IPL’s doubleheader was one with big runs as Delhi Capitals first put on a target of 165 with Prithvi Shaw (48) and Shikhar Dhawan (43).
Later in the chase RCB was off to a shaky start with Devdutt Padikkal going back for zero at the first over and then Kohli, and AB de Villiers also could not contribute a lot to the scoreboard. Later their shaky boat found some balance with Bharat and Glenn Maxwell’s unbeaten stand of 111 with Bharat going for 78 and Maxwell fired a half-century once again as RCB would go to the next round with a big six-wicket win.
