Big Bash: Renegades strategy backfired

Melbourne Renegades mixed up their X-factor substitution which cost them the second defeat of the Big Bash season to Hobart Hurricanes at Blundstone Arena. They replaced Peter Hatzoglou with Mackenzie Harvey, but later on their striker Josh Lalor suffered a side strain and could not be pulled out as extra bowler Hatzoglou was already out of the lineup, on top of that Harvey also failed to perform during the match while Lalor finished with 1-44 half of the runs came from his third over.

While for Hurricanes Ben McDermott blasted 89 runs from 55 balls to register a win by six wickets in their chase for 157. Hurricanes posted a total of 4-161 with 2 overs more to spare. Tim David accompanied McDermott on the field with 21 not out off 12.
