Buttler hits a century to put England into Semi Finals

England’s Jos Buttler hits century with a 67 ball century to hand England their fourth win in the Super 12s ICC T20 World Cup to become the first team in the tournament to book a seat for the Semi-Finals. Sri Lanka had won the toss but elected to field first. Wanindu Hasaranga then took down Jason Roy for 9 and Dawid Malan went for 6, bowled by Dushmantha Chameera.

Jonny Bairstow and Eoin Morgan also fell to the clever bowling efforts by Sri Lanka but Buttler withstood the pressure to move. Later in the chase for 164, Sri Lanka fell short and was bundled out at 137 in 19 overs as England defended the target well and Sri Lanka’s top and middle-order buckled under the pressure.
