Chennai Super Kings restricted Punjab quite well to win by 6 wickets in the end in their second matchup in the Indian Premier League. Deepak Chahar was 4-13 in the emphatic win and Chennai finished the match early with 26 balls to spare. Chahar thrashed King’s top order and helped the team to restrict Punjab to 106-8.
England's Moeen Ali later got close to a half-century with 46 off 31 and Faf du Plessis put up an unbeaten 36 for Chennai to claim their first win of the season and finished 107-4 with 4 overs to spare. Chahar took down Chris Gayle at 10 and Nicholas Pooran at 0 and later capped it off with Deepak Hooda’s wicket at 10 runs and left Punjab stunned at 5-26 in the 7th over. Sam Curran clinched one as well to help the team to a win.
